Flower Power!!


We investigated how water moves through a plant. We placed carnations in different coloured water and we came up with lots of predictions!


Would the flower change colour?

Would only the stem change colour?

Would nothing change colour?


We left the flowers for 24 hours. We could see that the flower turned the same colour as the water, so we know that the stem carried water up through the whole plant.
